Higdon + Galloway = 26.2?

Today I had the realization that the Galloway method alone is not going to cut it to get to 26.2. After some research I am going to attempt to combine the Galloway run/walk method with the Hal Higdon Novice 1 schedule. Right now I am at a 1/1 walk run ratio on my long runs and 2/1 on my short runs. We'll see how it goes now that I am running more during the week. I am starting this blog really for my own accountability and to keep track of this info for next year's training (fingers crossed that I finish this marathon and sign up for another).
